Transcripts and Other Supporting Materials Our audition and interview process provides us with a wealth of information to assess each applicant's musical aptitude and ability to succeed at Berklee, but we do require some documents, such as transcripts, before an admissions decision can be made.

The Boston Conservatory at Berklee is the place to be for anyone seeking a Musical Theater heavy training program. Every teacher is very professional and allows every student to learn at their own pace. It teaches us valuable life skills for when we leave the school and move to make this a career.

Applications for fall (September) admission must be submitted by December 1. Most programs require a prescreening recording as described in our Audition Requirements. Applications for spring (January) admission are accepted on a space.
Our Approach Applying to Berklee College of Music requires a live audition and interview. Berklee’s unique audition and interview process allows us to learn about you as a whole artist while assessing your current level of musicianship and potential to succeed in our dynamic community. It also allows us to consider you for merit-based scholarship awards.
The theater division offers a BFA and master’s degree in Musical Theatre. It is one of the only conservatories in the country to feature a musical theatre master’s program. Because admissions are based largely on talent, all Boston Conservatory applicants must audition.
